| A Message from our President: First, I’d like to welcome you to a new venture that I hope will help make a difference in the lives of our animal companions. I cannot express how thrilled I am to see Bikers Against Animal Cruelty, Inc. become a reality! I am fortunate to have a wonderful supporting husband and extremely caring, compassionate friends who all share the same interests and passions in life as I do; motorcycles and caring for animals. Through rescue and adoption experience, we realized the numbers of pets that were euthanized annually and the crucial need to help those unwanted pets. We’ve also come across the horrors of abuse and cruelty cases that come through rescues or are dumped at shelters. It is frightening and disturbing all at once. Knowing that none of us had the time or money to dedicate to fostering animals, opening our own rescue or fund emergency veterinary care, we began having parties where we would collect donation money and shelter items from our friends and family and distribute them to local shelters and rescues in need. Along the way we’ve made many new contacts and life long friends. We already knew that bikers are a very compassionate breed of humans, but as more and more shared their common bond they had with their pets as we did, and expressed outrage over abuse and cruelty cases, we realized it was a demographic group that could really benefit the animals in so many ways. Together, we founded Bikers Against Animal Cruelty and it is our dream that it will catch on nation-wide so that other compassionate motorcycle enthusiasts can spread the word, promote responsible pet ownership and help animals in need.
